Permanently Delete Messages On Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" symbol on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon is located in the leading left corner as well as resembles 2 tiny overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the discussion having the message or messages you wish to erase. If it is not provided on the first Messages pop-up window, click "See All" to check out every one of your private messages. Click the discussion on that list having the message you wish to delete.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" switch and afterwards click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes situated alongside the messages you wish to erase.
Click "Delete" and afterwards click "Delete Messages" to validate that you intend to delete the chosen messages.
Tip
To remove an entire conversation rather than specific messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions food selection in the 3rd action.
Caution
Erasing a private message in your Messages inbox does not delete it from the inbox of your conversation partner.
